The Real Deal
When and how did you become involved in commercial real estate? 6 Years ago, I was working part time in a cigar shop and complaining about my then current job, and a great industrial broker from Grubb (Steve Bonge) was hanging out in the cigar shop, and we started talking I knew he had a lot of fun and enjoyed his work, so I took a leap of faith. What project have you enjoyed working on the most and why? Helping Virtua Health with their real estate. The work is challenging, and it's a fun, dynamic organization that's good to its employees and serves the community. What do you like most about your job? How different it is from one day to the next, and that there is no limit to what you can do. What is your favorite feedback that you have gotten from a client lately? That I never pushed
the client in any direction, but rather was always watching out for
and advising them. If you decided to change careers, what would you be doing instead? That's a really tough one. Probably something to do with custom cars. What are some of your favorite ways to spend free time? Eagles games, anything to do with fast cars (if it goes fast and looks cool - I'm excited), Cajun food, Belgian beer, working out...Jersey Shore is the old standby, but the best vacation I ever had was in Louisiana - a few days in New Orleans, and a few days in the swamp with the gators. Sadly, I haven't been back since the hurricane, but I am looking forward to returning. If you could have dinner with any famous person, who would it be and why? Brian Dawkins - I would love to talk to him about how he manages to keep delivering that level of intensity, day in, day out, never gives less than everything he has, puts his team's goals above all else - even his own physical well being, and elevates the game of those around him.
