This current economic data draws from Means construction costs, which are updated quarterly, and based on the actual local contractor rates of a project's specific city, county and state for the current year. AutoBudget offers 3 finish levels (standard, upgraded and high-end) that present multiple finish alternatives for the client. If the budget numbers come in too high, the client can choose one of the finish alternatives to adjust the numbers and stay within budget. The budget numbers calculated through AutoBudget are truly based on the client's specific Programming information that Meyer Design, Inc. gathers during the Programming phase of a project. Since budget numbers are directly linked to Programming information, the budget numbers cannot be changed unless the Programming information changes. The Programming information AutoBudget processes into final estimates consists of current staff, required staff and projected staff numbers delineated by department with the required usable square footage for each department. This information also defines whether the staff reside in an office or workstation and the exact size of the office / workstation and includes pictorial diagrams of detailed furniture sizes, layouts and configurations that identify the specific components and materials of the furniture selected for the project. AutoBudget takes into account the "nuts and bolts" of a project. It includes everything from ceiling, flooring, lighting, window and wall finishes, to the installation process and cost of materials based on current market rates, and it even provides current costs for HVAC, electric and telephone data installation.
