Nicholson Celebrates 25 Years with Meyer! 25 years ago. The year was 1981. Sandra Day O'Connor
was nominated to the Supreme Court. And Suzanne Nicholson joins Meyer Design! Fast forward to 2006 and one sees that Suzanne has been the catalyst for much of the success experienced by Meyer and even some of her clients over the years. On March 2, 2006 at the Merion Cricket Club, over 60 clients, friends, and present and former coworkers gathered to surprise and celebrate Suzanne Nicholson and her 25 years of dedication, leadership, service and friendship. The night unfolded
with cocktails and conversation as Suzanne, in stunned awe, greeted
those who came to honor her. After a delicious buffet intermixed with
much laughter and tears, all gathered for a tribute to the woman who
has been coined "the rock, the After a brief stint in residential design after graduating from Drexel University, Suzanne Nicholson joined Meyer Design in 1981 after answering an ad in the Main Line Times. Suzanne was the third employee of the firm and split her time between business development and design. It didn't take long to see the value Suzanne added and after only four years, she became a Project Manager. In 1989, Suzanne became a Principal of the firm and was then asked to take over Operations of the firm three years later. Her significant contributions to the growth and development of the firm over the next eight years led Suzanne to be named Executive Vice president of the firm (her current position) in 2000. What
has kept Suzanne so dedicated to Meyer Design? Suzanne answers, "There
has never been another design firm as interesting as Meyer to me - the
people, the projects, the creativity, the vision. The evening ended on a moving passage written by Phil Burkett of Meyer Design. A portion of it follows: "Suzanne - It's not about Meyer really. It's about the lives that you have touched and the moments in time that have been cherished Astounding is the fact that there is a consistent thread that weaves through the tale of Meyer and all that it has become. It's an incredible opportunity to share a small part of our lives with somebody who cares for the work that you do almost as much as she cares about you. It's about relationships. And it's your passion that makes for all of us who are living our own journey come together tonight, honoring you as a coworker, mentor, and friend." Congratulations
and thank you Suzanne!
