Issue.3 - December.2005
• Above and Beyond

Change is constant. It drives our business. I’m excited to tell you about our own major transformation at Meyer Design. We will, once again, have our entire team (42 staff) working in one building -- our headquarters in Ardmore -- by the beginning of the year. Our re-design and expansion is the result of a busy 2005. We are thrilled about showing you our new space.

This issue of Beyond Design will highlight many clients who are in the transformation process as well. For some, like American College of Radiology, it’s changing their entire image, while for others it’s tweaking, updating or addressing operational issues.

There are very few firms that can successfully work with traditional organizations like the Racquet Club of Philadelphia and a growing Bioscience firm like Sterilox. This is what we strive for – custom solutions for individual company issues.

Best wishes for a pleasant holiday and a great new year,

~ Norman Liedtke

Above and Beyond

It's pretty rare.

Going above the client’s expectations, while staying well within expected budget parameters without compromising design quality can be an incredible task to accomplish.
But that’s exactly how it happened for American College of Radiology (ACR).

BPG Properties on the Rise
DE Opening Celebrations!
October 18th and 26th marked the opening celebrations for Meyer's new Delaware office! Mixing and mingling among the crowd were clients from PNC Bank as well as brokers from Grubb & Ellis, Jackson Cross Partners and local developers like the EDiS Company.

Building and leasing new construction are on the rise for BPG Properties. This year, their premier property in West Conshohocken, 300 Four Falls, has reached 93% occupancy. Built in 2003, it has attracted many firms in the financial and insurance industries. Meyer Design, Inc. has assisted BPG with many tenant assignments, including the fit out of office spaces for The Judge Group, ECBM, GCA...... representing a total of approximately 192,500 square feet.

When and how did you become involved in commercial real estate?
I became involved in real estate in 1981. I was living in Houston, TX and a relative introduced me to the manager of a brokerage operation in need of a "runner".

What project have you enjoyed working on the most and why?
Radnor Court in Radnor is the listing I have enjoyed most. It is perhaps the most desirable office property in the region and representing a property like that is a pleasure. When my partner, Mike McShane and I first acquired the listing, we re-negotiated every existing lease in the building and filled all vacancies in a little over a year...

What do a 110-year old chateau, a 92-year old frequent haunt of F. Scott Fitzgerald, and a 180-year old carpet mill have in common? They are all places Senior Designer Delta Rubsamen visited on a recent business trip to the Carolinas. As guests of Karastan Commercial Carpet, a division of The Mohawk Group, one of our financial services clients and Delta were treated to a tour of Karastan's mill in Landrum, South Carolina.

Developing these relationships with manufacturers enables Meyer designers to keep in step with the latest design trends and to specify high quality products for our clients.
