Furniture Maven. Creative Mastermind. Problem Solver Extraordinaire.

These are just a few of the words we often use to describe Cindy Carney, Furniture Solutions Manager at Meyer Design. From Receptionist to Resource Center Manager to Relocation Specialist to Furniture Solutions Manager, Cindy has held a variety of responsibilities over her 20-year Meyer career, which has given her a wholistic perspective on the design industry.

She has an extraordinary talent for absorbing details, facts and figures about products, people and manufacturers / suppliers. This enables her to provide our clients with remarkable problem-solving abilities.

Milestones:
In her early days, Cindy helped to elevate the Meyer Resource Center to a new level and became integrally involved with establishing the Meyer Awards of Excellence program, which recognizes excellence in the suppliers, manufactures and representatives of the products in our Resource Center.

While managing the Resource Center, Cindy became thoroughly familiar with various furniture suppliers and products. Meyer also began to notice a growing need to address furniture issues with our clients.

And so…a Furniture Maven was born.

Cindy devotes her career to understanding every aspect of furniture product and process. Whether it's refurbishing or selecting preowned furniture, overseeing furniture relocation and installation, selecting new furniture or coordinating the delivery of 125 task chairs from California to Pennsylvania in 2 ½ days, Cindy Carney is the furniture expert you can count on for a job well done.

She is well-known for her incredible willingness to do whatever it takes, roll up her sleeves and jump right in. Cindy never waits to be asked, she just takes note of what needs to be done, figures out the best solution and takes care of it.

Best Advice Received: "Find out what they want and give them plenty of it" ~my Dad

Funniest Professional Memory: "I worked on a project via phone, e-mail, drawings and photos -- and never actually saw the finished space in person. The client was International Raw Materials and the project was located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. I actually had to look it up on a map because I had no clue where it was! I developed the space plan and selected the workstations, and the client was very pleased, but I never even saw the completed space!"

Personal Passions:
Party Planning Expert ~ from a homemade spa products party to a birthday shoe shopping extravaganza, Cindy has invented and planned some of the most unique parties around!
Mixologist ~ you would be amazed at what she can do with a good vodka.
