My husband for sure. Without his help with our three kids, I could never have dedicated so much time to my career.

Always be honest and accountable for my actions.

How are you involved in your community?
On the board of the American Cancer Society, on the development committee for Penn State’s arts and architecture, teach art one day a year to elementary kids, my husband and I wrote a children’s music tape to help teach good values.

What do you think is the one new venue that will attract more businesses / office buildings to the Tri-state area?
Aside from lower city wage taxes and better parking……more waterfront options.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned?
Get started and be committed. Fear of failure can stop you cold. Mistakes are part of overhead, almost all of which can be fixed along the way.

How are you involved in your community?
Stakeholder's Planning Team Member. A commission of advocates, parents and non-bureaucrats appointed by Gov. Rendell to recommend how the PA DPW can better utilize assets and deliver social services more effectively to DPW recipients.

What do you think is the one new venue that will attract more businesses / office buildings to the Tri-state area?
The new movie studio to be located within the city at, say, the old Budd plant or a similar adaptive reuse type site.

I am a Board member of Travelers Aid of Philadelphia – the largest provider of housing and rehabilitation services to homeless families in the Philadelphia area.

What do you think is the one new venue that will attract more businesses / office buildings to the Tri-state area?
Cultivate an outstanding system of higher education – colleges and universities, as well as an excellent health care system including teaching hospitals. These are the principal drivers of modern leading edge businesses today and for the future.
